What I see working in health care.

The good, the bad + the glimmer of hope.

The great thing about health care today is that there are endless options. Had this been earlier years a lot of us would be burned for which craft and die from simple scratches…) So where then to begin? Well by a process of elimination, you will find your answer. The biggest factors will be budget, location, and services included.

So far our government systems are over populated and underfunded, however many can’t afford the private care they require; this begins the awkward dance of picking and choosing your battles. This experience is often described by the locals as feeling like a full time jobs, or endless. A task, indeed, especially when you don’t know who to turn to, or who to trust. The devil is indeed in the details when you join a facility and a new contract, make sure to do your research and check in with those already living there.

The glimmer of hope lays in finding the right people for your team. If you wouldn’t trust them to take care of you at your most vulnerable don’t let them near your family, and when you find the right fit, hold on to them and get to know your health care workers, it will only strengthen the system you are creating together.
